Contact 100 - 'Policy into Practice'
Inclusion Scotland has always been aware that it cannot carry out its aims and objectives effectively without the direct involvement and support of disabled people themselves. With this in mind we have launched a new initiative: Contact 100.
We aim to attract at least 100 people to come together in small groups to discuss issues raised in our 'Manifesto for Inclusion' as well as others that rise from time to time. By having a direct flow of grass roots opinions, we can keep abreast of what is going on and make a contribution to resolving issues, thus having a stronger say in our society.
Our Policy Officer, Bill Scott, will have overall responsibility for encouraging disabled people to become involved in Contact 100. Initially, the groups will start off as e-groups and then expand to face-to-face meetings, pending funds. Administration and agreed costs will be met by Inclusion Scotland.
