FOI research into accessible housing for disabled people in Scotland
Inclusion Scotland have conducted research into accessible housing for disabled people in Scotland using Freedom of Information legislation. This research report identifies the gaps and failings by local authorities regarding housing provision for disabled people in Scotland, as well as highlighting excellent practice and strategies that are currently in place.
This timely report is published just weeks after the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights stated that ‘The Committee is concerned about the chronic shortage of housing, in particular social housing, for the most disadvantaged and marginalized individuals and groups, such as persons with disabilities, especially in Scotland.'
